Auro 3D provides the immersed sound system which is state of art and first of its kind. The glasses-free 3D Televisions will be available in the market from Christmas and the Epica 3D Tab and smart phones will be available in the market from January 2016.
“The lens and system that we have developed with Epica powers the great visual, enabling a viewer to move across the screen while still maintaining the clear 3D visual. The technology in use ensures a viewer doesn’t lose focus even if they moved from one side of the room to the next.” Said Mr. Bas Ploeger, CMO & CFO, Dimenco.
“Epica 3D TV is currently aimed as a professional B2B 3D monitor, which can be used for commercials, out-of-home advertisements, training, medical and engineering educational content display. We hope to redefine the advertising scenario with our LED 3D display and replace 2D displays across the world and facilitate the ultimate glasses free 3D viewing experience.” Said Sohan Roy at the launch event.
“With the 3D Tab and 3D Mobile phones, we plan to target the youth segment that is into gaming. With the 3D visuals, gaming will be an out-of-the-world and virtual experience for the enthusiasts. There is a huge market for tabs and mobile phones across the world and we intend to target the higher level audience with our 3D offerings and establish ourselves as a strong player globally in this sector.” He added.
“We are supporting Epica with 3D immersed sound system, which will enable a whole new sound experience for the 3D content providing a holistic experience to the viewers in the tablets, smart phones and home theatre systems. Auro has collaborated with Epica and we have set up our office in Dubai to focus on the India, Middle East and African regions initially and then expand our services to the global market.” Said Robert Bose, Vice President, Auro 3D.
“Just having glasses free 3D enabled televisions, tablets or phones will not suffice as content for 3D viewing is necessary. Content was always a challenge for even glasses enabled 3D Televisions which are in the market. Epica Studios to enable content has developed a gateway for users to download 3D content. We presently have over 400 3D games and about 800 3D movies in our repository to download and experience 3D without glasses.” Said Jeemon Pullely, Managing Director, Epica Studio.
Epica is planning to set up a manufacturing unit in India to manufacture the glasses free 3D TV, 3D Tabs and mobile phones. “We are in discussion with a few state governments including Kerala government and hopefully we shall be able to start manufacturing from India by end of the first quarter of 2016. The manufacturing unit will generate over 5000 job opportunities. We are targeting to hit at least 8 markets including UK, Singapore, UAE and India. The TVs will be available in sizes starting from 39 inch all the way to 110 inches. The tablets and phones will be made available in the Indian market through Infinite 3 Solutions, our Channel partner and soon through ecommerce network as well.” Said Satish Chandran, Director Epica.
He also informed that the products will be launched in Europe by January 2016 and marketed in partnership with a well known network provider. Epica Studios will also be expanding its footprint to reach out to the global market and will be setting up six offices in the first quarter of 2016 including UK, and Italy.
