Wipro invests $9.9 million in US-based Harte Hanks
Bengaluru based company Wipro announced to pick up a minority stake of US-based Harte Hanks for nearly Rs 66 Crore to boost its digital marketing service offers. The US marketing services company Harte Harks specializes in omni-channel marketing solutions. Wipro aspires to expand their existing partnership to offer end-to-end marketing technology services to customers.
The investment is done through Wipro LLC which is a fully owned daughter-company of Wipro. Before the investment, Harte Hanks occupied 5000 employees and their revenues were around $404 million in 2016. It also delivers smarter customer interactions for some of the world’s leading brands.
As a part of their partnership they will mutually continue marketing Opera Solutions’ Signal Hub, a platform that enables clients to deliver a personalized costumer experience.
“This investment strengthens our existing partnership with Harte Hanks and enables us to address a key industry challenge by offering ‘ as a Service’,” said Srini Pallia, President of the Consumer Business Unit, Wipro.
The investment in Harte Hanks is expected to be completed in March, 2018.
